In a ramshackle Nantucket beach cottage, Diana and Adam are up late on the night of their engagement.

Adam is aroused; Diana is starving.

When her endless appetite draws her down to the beach,

Diana encounters a strange and tempting man from the sea.

Trapped between the hope for fulfillment and the dangers of longing,

Diana must choose between husband and lover, land and sea, yearning and happiness,

all before the shack slips into the ocean.
